Patrick (Guitar/vox), Caroline (drums) and Igor (Bass and Synths) are the trio that drives the inherent whirlwind of thoughts, within minds. Such is the case with their single ‘Run’.
And with ‘Run’, you’re captivated by the poignant irreverence, shadowed by the ultra-orthodoxies of the current climate for relationship and of expectations. Lost in the cudgel of the radical petulance, the song seeks to redeem the coupon for a fairer and descent wage of hearts ravaged, in the cold and harshness of the realities we sometime demonize.
This first single off of their upcoming album, the three from Cologne, Germany ramps up the musings, as delicately and significant.
“‘Run’ was written in one night while lying on the back next to the mediterranean sea and watching the sky. It’s about a person who starts to run from the last row, trying to find his way, without knowing if it’s the right thing for him to do. “But they show, you’re too slow, let it go, and you know, that it’s not for someone like you.” – A long and stressful trip full of questions, full of self-doubts, but focusing on his feelings. The only thing he knows is that he feels the warmth when running ‘straight to the sun'”.
Formed only one year ago, the band has delivered with absolute revelry for their craft, and its nuances. And with that, it was natural to see them on tour/gigs, right after the start. They played their first festival shows and over 40 concerts already, including gigs in UK, the Netherlands and a Canada Tour – including 10 gigs in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and more – as well as Support Slots for FKJ, Japanese House and OMNI.
‘Run’ is a quenching and thematic excellence, simply put.
You should dig.
See them next at Club Subway in Cologne, Germany September 28th.
