Alexandra Lost ‘Modern Feelings’ : Dance if you can. Feel the guilt, for the pleasure.

Alexandra Lost

Don’t let the music video fool you. It’s sunny. But Alexandra Lost’s single ‘Modern Feelings’ is a darker (but effervescent) shadow of a look into our limitations of human flaws. A mask of pretense, gently wiped away in a visceral cast of sights and sounds, all combine to simply makes this single a part of he ‘oh-so-good’ club.

Alexandra Lost is the brainchild of Jane Ehrhardt and Simon Paradis, two veterans of the Quebec City music scene armed with vintage synthesizers and well-crafted verse. Ehrhardt and Paradis are partners in both music and life. And together, they have nearly four decades of accumulated experience in the realms of independent music.

The duo makes things happen, yo.

With their alter-ego vibes, with jutting audible hips, spiked musical heels and salutary good looking song subtleties, the outfit is a treasure trove of mis-deeds, done good. The wisdom of their arrangements, with tactful tongue in cheek vibes, delivers with gusto and triumph.

Dance if you can. Feel the guilt; just for the pleasure.

You won’t regret.

Their self-titled debut album drops March 27.

Song Of The Day! Glenn Thomas ‘Oriole’ : “Little oriole, stay here with me. We’ll tell ourselves that we’ll outlast everything.”
