It’s a slow walk on the other side. Other side of the parted routes, hidden and ignored. But just for a little bit. Revealing the times we were together for a while. You know, when we were two peas in a pod, like ice-cream and banana. We were a perfect fit weren’t we? Were we not? Not really? Maybe not. But let’s hold on to that gilded memories of gold and hot chocolate. Please?
Andy Jenkins’ bad-ass crawl-rock blues of a single ‘Sweet Bunch’ gets the blood flowing. And as the new album is nearing its release date, there comes the announcement of his tour dates. And so far, he’ll be hitting the road in putting his little knack for song in major cities throughout June.
Bad-ass for sure.
Jenkins is from the front porches and alleys of Richmond, Virginia and he’s got some crisp and spry cuts of new songs to sweeten the deal for ya. His new album ‘Sweet Bunch’ will dazzle in good ol’ guitar and songwriting skillz, about due in this day and age.
It’s good sh*t.
He’s about to burst, after many years of being in the background. And you can feel it in his work throughout the album – from the happy go lucky ‘Curve of Love’, to the genuine blues Americana flow of ‘Genuine Heart’, and to our favorite ‘Get Together’ (a right as rain, positive outlook of what’s what in this world).
Listen to the support vocals.
Listen to the high-hat work.
Listen to Andy’s drawl and swank.
Listen to that music, walk the walk.
It’s a dandy of a little album.
The 9 song LP ‘Sweet Bunch’ drops June 15th.
He’s rep’ed by Spacebomb Records.
