ANNA ST. LOUIS Shares ‘Understand’ (Single & Video). Debut Album Drops October 12th.

ANNA ST. LOUIS will drop her anticipated debut album on October 12th. And after we did the review for her single ‘Fire’, we’d kept her on the CHF radar. We’d stated for ‘Fire’: “…is a trial and a subpoena for the heart’s very soul. Meticulous, angered, tempered, and melodic – it resonates the virtues of serendipitous angst we all hide, here or there.”

In her run-up to her debut album release through Woodist, she has this single and video for ‘Understand’. It’s in the same realm as the ‘Fire’ in that it’s a passionate and heated musical dissertation. But always, and always, tastefully presented in Anna’s whole heartedly manic subtle tone and arch.

It’s the contrasts that makes thing interesting in life.

Anna does it with her music.

This is her first single off of the upcoming album, and it’s a great start.

The L.A. based songwriter made her debut with Mare Records and no, she’s on her way to bigger and greater things.

Her debut album has been produced by Morby and Kyle Thomas of King Tuff

Anna’s lyrics are ‘just elbow deep in darkness’ that we enjoy it a lot. As we’d mentioned, the contrasts in life makes things interesting. The dark and the light, in Anna’s musical ‘humor’ is enlightening and worth listening for.
