Askies ‘Easy’ : Taps into both old roots and new beginnings.

‘Easy’ is Askies’ conduit for distinct sound bridges, explosive alternative rock and razor-sharp indie. Askies have already made a name for themselves on the live circuit- most notably growing a following in their hometown of Leeds with 2 sold out shows in 2019 and the release of their last two singles Subject To Change & Catch Up .

Their music holds the vibrance and clarity of their rock n roll predecessors; the sound radiates ambition and tactile energy. However, musically and lyrically, the band leap towards the forefront of their contemporaries with mature and wonderfully rich songwriting.

‘Easy’ reflects a dusty rock feel which taps into both old roots and new beginnings. The conversational tone within the track adopts the narrative of being in a ‘purgatory’ like state within a relationship. A dynamic composition – which seems to open and expand with every listen.

SBK01 ‘Control’ : It is a darkened electric dream, of and for fears – not yet existing – but always present.

Martha Hill ‘Grilled Cheese’ : Pop and resilience. The vexing and complex underlying of a very personal lyrical grating.
