Australia: Decides to form its own space agency to tap into the $420 Billion aerospace industry.

Could you believe, a first world country like Australia never had a space agency to call its own? Now they’re planning on opening one, to take on the $420 Billion aerospace industry.

“The global space industry is growing rapidly and it’s crucial that Australia is part of this growth..A national space agency will ensure we have a strategic long-term plan that supports the development and application of space technologies and grows our domestic space industry.” – Turnbull Government Minister Cash.

As of today, there are 71 different government space agencies are in existence with 13 having launch capabilities. Australia, will be looking to launch its own rockets from a home launch pad.
