Beach Kick’s ‘Obsession’ is off of the debut EP, ‘Walls Up’. From the surface, it does feel like a pop song, but deeper inside the construction and lyrical progression, the sone is substantive and very much valid for the feelings that we feel, which we don’t know why we feel them.
It’s a light trotting down the yellow brick road, watching the flowers turn and watch us walk, and listening to the creaking of the tree branches in the internal twisting of mis-guided loves and the love-less ambitions.
Yes. It feels like just another pop song, but it has a deeper layer.
Listen to it.
Close your eyes.
We think it’s worth your minutes.
