Quiet Slang Announce Debut Album ‘Everything Matters But No One Is Listening’. Drops May 18th.

Beach Slang’s James Alex debuts with his new album ‘Everything Matters But No One Is Listening’ through his project ‘Quiet Slang’, on May 18th.

“Rock and roll is sort of my consolation prize for wanting to have been a writer,” says James Alex.

Beach Slang is a spicy punk band, which brings it with loud sounds which we’d expect and subsequently love to listen to.

Quiet Slang is the addendum to that quintessential Beach Slang style, with a softer touch. However, the lyrics are as burdened with thought and appetite in sonic discoveries.

It’s all goooood~

Minimalism is a way to look at it. But the underlying complexity still bleeds over to Quiet Slang. After all, the substance is Alex’ insufferable talents, and hence, it’s a welcomed progression. The ‘complexity’ blends the two projects along together – framing the base for two different types of interpretations, Alex would leverage.

“You can be born into damage, into being forgotten. That stuff sticks with you, you know? You sort of just swirl around, looking for something that makes you feel like you might matter. Sometimes you get lucky and that feeling shows up. Other times, it’s tougher.” Alex stated.

It’s a goal that’s met, for sure.
