Bel Heir brings California High (well few months ago) to the eyes and ears of CHF staff, and it’s a bit captivating. It combines some rock, some cafe racer feel, 1950’s drag racing theme, then sprinkles the beach wave quick rhythm that get one’s toes jumping.
From the few seconds we heard this song we thought that we would be showered with a ‘saccharine-pop-leaning’ kind of alternative/indie rock that we’re a bit allergic to. But lo and behold, we were really entertained, surprised, and got into the whole world of California High. The song is fun, elliptical, quick paced, and irreverent – just stuff that cleans off someone’s work stresses off of his/her shoulders (hence, getting ready for Friday hi-jinx).
It’s a song that we dig and we think you should too.
Also, it maybe bit cliche, but guys from Philadelphia producing such a diddy, is even better.
Oh and music video below, too.
