BENEE Shares ‘Monsta’. “Continues to separate from the rest.”

BENEE’s single, along with her other songs, bring all of the fabulousness that pop can bring these days, but with one other layer that just pulls at you. Her beautiful and distinctively alt-gorgeous strength in her vocals, highlight the glory that her productions can offer. And within that realm, BENEE separates, from others, in a big way.

We’d described BENEE, 19 year old pop sensation from Australia, as: “Genre bending and amplifying, there’s a mystical undertone that is very rare from a pop artist of modern contention. BENEE’s sultry and indicative vocals, are ripe with feelings from innocence and posthumous maturity, as it drives up a storm of personal histrionics with relatable cascades of love, loss and possibilities.”

“I wrote it about a real fear I have of being taken in the night by someone outside my room,” stated BENEE. “I’ve been loving a bunch of Arabic music lately, and in the studio when we were working on ‘Monsta’ I suggested we find a line which follows a similar double harmonic scale—which you don’t usually hear in western music! I love the way that part has come out in the song.”

In 2019, her work had come to another milestone signing with Republic Records, preparing for the world-wide release of her debut EP. She stated: “I like the flexibility to cross genres,” says BENEE, “To have the creative space to mix it up and not be confined to one sound.”

“With the media and societal expectations there is this kind of image that people want to see,” added BENEE. “For me, I never want to be something that I’m not or something that I don’t want to be. I want the whole BENEE project to be my artistic truth.”

In December, the fabulous artist named BENEE returns to the U.S. to support Conan Gray on select dates of his ‘Comfort Crowd Tour’ including Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Denver and more. The 19 year old is a an indie pop phenomenon.

BENEE’s shows in Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, and Ballarat, have been sold out.

See her next, in the US @ The Ogden Theatre, Denver December 2.

Forthright and just magnificently talented, BENEE is still someone to keep your radar tuned towards.

“I want to be a powerful, strong woman who people can look up to,” said BENEE.

“I want to be honest, and I want to be myself.”
