Bobby Krlic, who records under the name The Haxan Cloak, has composed the full score for the new Netflix show Seven Seconds. Seven Seconds is a crime drama series from the creator of The Killing and features Emmy award winning actress Regina King.
“It was a humbling experience to be able to help articulate the poignant and necessary story of Seven Seconds through music,” says Krlic.
Haxan Cloak’s last album ‘Excavation’ was released in 2013 to critical acclaim. Over the past five years, the composer and producer has spent his time on production for such artists as Bjork, Goldfrapp, serpentwithfeet and others. He has also composed scores for several TV productions and film, including the soundtrack for Almost Holy, a collaboration with Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails.
He is currently at work on new music set to be released later in 2018.
Krlic is rep’d by The Young Turks (Beggars).
NETFLIX’S ‘Seven Seconds
Premiered on February 23, 2018, the dark and introspective series which tries to search through the haze of justice is set in a story book tale up against the backdrop of Jersey City, New Jersey. It delves into a sometimes very over played premise, when a cop kills an innocent, then perpetuates situation by hiding the facts, leveraging position within his sphere of influence.
Then the twists in human psychology, from within and without – begin.
The premise is an ‘ancient’ one, but very much poignant to this current day. The series take stories from real head-liners and tries to form a neutral narrative.
Will it succeed?
