‘Falling Asleep’ is Cape Weather’s 3rd single off their upcoming EP (June). “The single explores the weight we put on social interactions that we view from a distance,” said the band. “We wanted the sound of the song to feel like a classic score, fusing both modern and traditional instruments.”
But it does more than that. It immediately flood back personal memories for each listener, taking them back in time of better days of innocence and surefire love. A place, a face, an immediacy, never forgotten – a revelry that is intrinsic within our souls, no matter our backgrounds.
A beautiful, sultry adolescence that is mature and loving. That is ‘Falling Asleep’.
The Los Angeles-based duo have only released two songs, but have already received support from outlets such as NPR Music & The Line of Best Fit and also via Spotify. And that is with good reason.
The collaboration between Natalie Smith and Eric Jackowitz is a shimmering vibe, understood in the most intimate.
