Caveboy ‘N.Y.P.’ : You don’t know where you’re going, but you hold out your hands to ‘N.Y.P’ and give all of you, in belief.

Caveboy

With a fresh yet nostalgic perspective on alternative pop, Montreal’s Caveboy root themselves in the timeless music of their parent’s generation and build to unforgettable chaos during their live performances.

“‘N.Y.P.’ is about possession and greed. It’s the dark feelings you don’t want to talk about that pull you in and give you pleasure. The pleasure in the pain. Video was directed and animated by Anne Douris (Tokyo Police Club, Fast Romantics).”

The all-womxn trio’s first few years were driven by electrifying performances at SXSW, Osheaga, Pride Toronto, the Pre-Grammy Celebration of Canadian Excellence, 2018 Juno Gala Awards (The Canadian Grammys), and support performances for Tash Sultana, Tom Walker, Ria Mae, Cub Sport, and Wintersleep.

Off of the latest LP ‘Night in the Park, Kiss in the Dark’ (out now), the moody and granular synth-pop goodness oozes off the vocals and production of ‘N.Y.P’. And as the gusts of emotions swell with set assumptions and delighting contrasts, the indulgence can take full effect as the atmospheric and hiving visions, drape all over you.

You don’t know where you’re going, but you hold out your hands to ‘N.Y.P’ and give all of you, in belief.
