Ceder ‘You Lead I Follow’ : Grand return. New dawn for the band that never quits.

Lyle Greig (guitar/vocals) and Campbell Greig (drums) head this project of rock and sweat. Ceder’s single ‘You Lead I Follow’ is a powerful return to a different era of venerable alternative/experimental hard rock, that set the world on fire. A fire that rages just under that depth and intervention is Ceder’s essence and striven efforts in grit.

Hailing from Palmerston North, New Zealand hey formed in 2012 where they played various gigs throughout the area, competing in the national battle of the bands multiple times, managing to get to the Auckland finals in 2015. That culminated in a winning result in the local competition enabling them to record a single with renown producer Tiki Taane, which was released that same year. They have opened for bands like Villainy l, I am Giant and Black river drive, securing a couple of gigs with Alien Weaponry back before they took on the world.

Influenced by bands like Metallica, Tool and Chevelle, Ceder fuses hard rock riffs and clean passages into their songs that invoke uninterrupted majetsty at the edges of space.

‘You Lead I Follow’ is a return to the pature that they know so well. And with this song of ambitious construction, the familiarity of such rock sounds, gets you to return to that light of appreciation and admiration for Ceder.

New dawn for the band that never quits.
