CHEL ‘Nasty Woman’ : She will not go down without a fight to keep equality at the forefront of discussion.

CHEL

Taking the inspiration of her grandmother – a strong woman in all her ways – CHEL sings about the change of this overtly ‘nasty’ world, and also for the change that needs to be.

“For the holidays, my grandma decided to send each of her grandchildren a little bit of money to do whatever they wanted with it. I decided to take that money and to write a song in honor of my Grandma.

Taking the opportunity to springboard from her personal inspirations, she rallies with vibrance and straight on commentary about where we all should be. The country, CHEL thinks, is on a precipice to go back to another time when minorities of all stripes will be less than.

“I thought about how there is a trend in the current popular culture of calling strong women “Nasty”. I wanted to make a women’s empowerment anthem that was pretty and gritty all at the same time. I wanted to speak on the fact that women are still paid substantially less to do the same job as a man.”

“Shut up and know your place,” is what they’d say. And CHEL wants all to know that she will not go down without a fight to keep equality at the forefront of discussion.

TEOA ‘Holy Shit’ : By the possible and the probable. An anthemic project, that refines.

GOLD ST MKT ‘Fashion’ : Will dictate the discourse with overwhelming retributions, from bow to starboard.
