Chelsey and the Noise Share ‘Are you afraid?’ “Delicately caustic, monstrously charming, and graciously decadent.”

Frank Gaglione

There’s the inner goth in you. And then there’s also the trip-hop vibe as well. Is there the remnants of metal, too?

For the month of ‘Halloween’ (and any month, for that matter) there’s the delicately caustic, monstrously charming, and graciously decadent works of Chelsey And The Noise. The duo of impeccable taste in the color black, ranges with bionic talents, and mingles with the underworld in musical alchemy.

It’s a good thing.

Vibin’ dark wisps of wind and emotional tattoos, the duo made of Chelsey Hice and Brent “the Noise” Watters, makes entertainment in song, a new experience, every time. Chelsey and the Noise continue to hone their genre bending sound in this track, incorporating an array of influences including industrial metal, hip hop, and pop.

“Sometimes nothing is more frightening than the ability to get in our own way. ‘Are you afraid?’ tip toes around themes of self-sabotage and self-denial with dynamic guitars and aggressive vocals expressing the ups and downs of internal fears,” stated Chelsey And The Noise.

We’d stated prior: “[CATN] takes the torch and puts a flame thrower on it – burning you, torturing you, cutting you in to pieces…with a grin. Then a slap to your face.”

This is the third single of 2019 from CATN.

The have two EPs- Losing Landscapes (2016) and Blank Frames (2018), as well.
