Ciao Lucifer ‘tuO I elihW nI’ : “Our songs have been carefully selected by a commission of girl friends who love to dance.”

Ciao Lucifer

Two years ago, Ciao Lucifer went to a dusty little French hamlet to record their debut in an improvised tape studio setup. It got them 4/5 stars in Dutch national newspaper NRC. At their live shows they took their recordings with a grain of salt — a large hyped up crowd asks for extended party versions.

“Our concept is rather simple: pure bromance. Just two high school friends who treat every gig as a roadtrip opportunity. Our songs have been carefully selected by a commission of girl friends who love to dance. If they don’t like it, it’s out. What’s left is friendship in the form of sound.”

One year after releasing ‘Are We Even Growing Up’, Ciao Lucifer reworked their entire debut album.

The result is an energetic and danceable pop record on which the bromance pop duo threw their tracks into a blender with big chunks of acid, lo-fi and booming electro.

Out now.
