There’s a sadness in your eyes. It’s been a resident within, ever since our encounter. You’d mastered the lock to my heart, ever since our fist kiss. I’m confused at how our relationship has depleted in energy, so quickly, so hard. You don’t look at me the way you did, any longer. Why do you hate me so? Why do you not care about me any more?
Rounding the base in utter tragedy, we try our best to circumvent the thought and guilt we hide and nurture, like the cute kitten we dearly love. With silk covers, we hide the truth, for what we deem necessary to move on with our little lives.
With lightening speed, the kitten grows up to be a roaring Lion. The silk covers don’t fit the giant animalistic angst, any longer.
It’s torn to pieces.
You are torn to pieces.
I AM torn to pieces.
There’s not going back now.
Don’t hate me too much.
I love you, even if you don’t love me.
CLAIRE GEORGE’ single ‘Where Do You Go’ is a ceremonial tribute to the troubles in the decadent majesty of our current lives. Within the dots of our daily life, we struggle and sometimes, depart. Claire’s almost Celtic vocal sensibilities poignantly point our views toward a different horizon.
And maybe, just maybe, we’ll hold her hand and go.
The Los Angeles based artist’s new upcoming EP will drop at the end of 2018.
