Claire Ridgely ‘Busy Body’ : Idyllic lyrics trance over the wants and needs.

That would mean we can always know how each of us stand.

Claire Ridgely

Claire Ridgely is a Montreal-based artist originally hailing from Northern Virginia. Claire has worked as a featured artist for many years, but has since turned her energy towards her solo career and has released four (‘Till The Morning’, ‘Broke Boy’ + extended, ‘Gunshot’) singles this year. Now, ‘Busy Body’ makes it an even five.

‘Busy Body’, is a melodic pop track highlighting Claire’s fluttering vocals over intricate synth-pop flourishes. Idyllic lyrics trance over the wants and needs of the protagonist, always knowing that what she’d want will never happen. Unless the lover with the perceived heart of gold comes through with a change.

Change of attitude and suppositions, are hard to relinquish. Even if love is at play, old habit die hard.

And maybe, just maybe, that would mean we can always know how each of us stand.

Cynical, indeed.

Taste that charming darkness in Claire’ single.
