The 3rd song from Clerques, the cinematic and nostalgic textures glitter in the sun of a time of memorial. A walk through the park, with stained glass window colors, panning your every step into the forever. Despite the subject of the song, the gallantry of the song, brings out the best of the song makers.

“‘The Friar’ is a sordid tale of illicit dealings, daddy issues and tropical gunfights,” said Clerques. “The story begins with a moral dilemma 30,000ft in the air, but where will it end? Redemption or despair?”

The Friar’s tropical pop veneer is a contrast to the dark, industrial sound Clerques have experimented with recently.

The London based band, dips their writing anthems, into various collage of genres, extracting the essence – in part and in whole. A manifestation of this and that, that is profoundly jaunting and worth your ear of attention.
