Cloud Cycle Shares ‘Polarity’. “Large and meaningful metal soundscape.”

John and Jeff Boyd make up this invigorating project CLOUD CYCLE. The nu-metal/post-rock offering in the single ‘Polarity’ is consuming and offers a definite alternative to the often pumped up and frivolous production s of other such genre providers.

‘Polarity’ is a song that the band had written it as a note on the ‘feeling of gliding down the mountain in the snow’.

Reminiscent of the best that nu-metal had brought to us by star bands like Linkin Park, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, and Evanescence, the duo in CLOUD CYCLE re-lives the elements that have defined the sub-genre, but adds a binding agent in this particular single which sets it apart.

With no additional layer of lyrics and or participants, the ambience of ‘Polarity’ creates a larger and more meaningful soundscape that delivers on its promise of seriousness and anxiety, offered from the get-go.

The vibrancy is understated, but with purpose and keeps the listener in a head-lock of satisfaction.

Lovely stuff from the duo, and can’t wait to hear more from the project.
