dad boy’s Some Romance’ is a alt-pop / disco invigoration that dips deep into the psyche of your dancing heart and imbeds with truth and justice in sound.
Off of his self-titled EP, Janson Sommers’ unique take, is cordially displayed on the virtual pages of this fabulous new trek. After his indie rock band Futon Blonde were forced to take a hiatus Janson went on to forge a new musical identity—one that was more contemporary, pop-centric and moved people to dance, even if they were dancing quarantined in their rooms.
For the new EP, he enlisted fellow Austin producer Mason Ables (Flora & Fawna, SOBBRS) to help flesh out the shimmery layers of synthesizers and driving beats, to keep the boppin’ heads boppin’ and the coolness rockin’.
Austere and prominent, at the same time, ‘Some Romance’ is an entitlement for us to show our internal badge to get out there and do what we need to do.
You got this.
And dad boy, thinks you go this too.
Look for more great things from Janson.
