Daniel Bock ‘Badlands’ : Tick-tock by our current states, and leave traces of notions to follow.

Daniel Bock

‘Badlands’ is the “tale of a turbulent love story between two individuals looking for better fates.” It’s the hard work off of Daniel Bocks’ soft-rock album ‘Califauxnia’ (out now).

“Initially written for a small film we were working on, of which the production turned into a s**tshow,” said Daniel. “It didn’t take us long to realize that the album would be leagues ahead of the film itself, so we decided to make the Califauxnia-album the main release and the film a ‘side-product’.”

Shimmering and moment by moment, the turning of the clock arms, tick-tock by our current states, and leave traces of notions to follow. That is where the album stands. But within it, there are – like life – a granular undulation of happiness, giddiness, sadness, and frustrations.

‘Badlands’ kicks that ideal into the fore and pushes forth the interesting vibes of this album.

And of Daniel Bock.
