New York based DEEP SEA PEACH TREE comes to us with another shoegaze-dream-rock banger in ‘Xanzibar’. The trio with influences from all around the musical Universe, makes hazy goodness a thing. And when they make it indelibly interesting and formidable, we all have to lean in a bit closer.
A project of Kristof Denis (guitar/vocals), Andrew Dell Isola (bass) and Wiley Watson (guitar), DSPT is akin to the swath of calming surfs, at the coasts of that mythical Californian future in your dreams. There’s no pretense, no unambiguous ask, there’s zero calories to the notes planted – organic and prevalent, the band drizzles out schisms in pound-per-pound musical extravaganzas.
All in a neatly packaged sums of guitar driven feelz, mind you.
The members met at Skidmore, then decided to play together in NYC. Quickly released a 2017 debut album ‘Vaguely Navy’.
Their history continues.
