Dei Lucrii ‘Scathe By The Bull’ : Effervescence – dark and contrasting – at the same time.

Dei Lucrii

‘Scathe By The Bull’ is the second track off of Dei Lucrii’s Sophomore EP, ‘Devil’s Thumb’. The EP as a whole has a loose “spaghetti western in space” theme, but with heavy, dark undertones that this track perfectly exemplifies.

Nate Paris-Hernandez, Mitch Rossiter, Spencer Lewin and Mdaniel Garcia, the band kills it with easy vocal reverb and decadent guitar grizzle and wrangle. A prominent acceleration of notion plus rock shine, the band delivers in the highest of order.

Dei Lucrii is a 4-piece psychedelic noise-punk band based in Los Angeles California. And they rock better than all of us. But they invite with calming 70’s effervescence – dark and contrasting – at the same time.

It’s the mark of the devil in you. And rockin’ with Dei Lucrii is pleasure, you should embrace.

Tomorrow (Friday, June 5th) @bandcamp will be waiving all of their fees for artists and labels. While we encourage you to put your money towards supporting black artists, we also want to contribute what we can as a band to the cause. Starting tomorrow and for the next week, we’ll be donating 100% of our BC sales to the Los Angeles Bail Fund as well as the Color of Change organization. We stand in solidarity with all those fighting against systematic racism and pushing for equality and justice for black Americans. We also hate the fucking cops. While we’ve individually been protesting, donating, and trying to spread useful information far and wide, we understand there is always more to be done, and we’d like to do something as a collective voice.
