ECKOES – Without Prejudice

UK based musician ECKOES is rising. There’s just no doubt about that fact. The breath of musical fresh air, emanating from the mind of this talented artist, is captivating and invigorating at the same time. ‘Without Prejudice’ brings back electronica dreams with the essence of worldly sensations. The texture is vivid, crisp, without the uninvited gleams of excessive sonic scowls. The gentle breeze of the single is cinematic and versatile. ECKOES stated about the single “‘Without Prejudice’ is the sobering realisation of inevitable, imminent loss. Looking at where you’re standing and knowing that it’s impossible to stay here any longer. Then looking out into the void in front of you and wondering how you’re going to do this. Again. I’ve left space in the song so people can fill it with their own thoughts, their own stories – I hope the music carries them away.”

Foley – Stranger

‘Stranger’ by FOLEY is a scintillating electro-pop star-light pushing the darkness of a love about to be born, into the sunshine. The radio ready dance inducing, airy story of the complexities of relationships is what this song is about. And we love it, as you can tell. The duo of two New Zealanders Ashleigh Wallace and Gabriel Everett, keep the melodies and glossy beats on to the dance floor of your heart. We keep dancing. We just keep dancing. It’s the perfect sugar high we needed in these certain times of social unrest. “In the complex landscape of young love, ‘Stranger’ narrates the struggle to reconcile who we are before, and after, a pivotal relationship in our history.” Love.

Cautious Clay – REASONS

A breakout year, CAUTIOUS CLAY made instant impressions from the beginning of 2018, and the momentum didn’t stop. It still continues as ‘REASONS’ takes his audience into another stretch of another dimension. Co-written with Hudson Mohawk and Tobias Jesso Jr., the single regulates the pulse, for an emphatic beat drenched party. ‘REASONS’ is the first song off of his upcoming EP, due out early 2019. HBO, BET, TINY DESK – and the roll keeps speedin’ on.

Tiggi Hawke – Alibi

Love is hard. It takes work. TIGGI HAWKE knows this. And in track with that philosophy, she works hard at her musical career as well. True to form, she comes through with the distinctive single ‘Alibi’. It is the way relationships are to be remembered, and saved in the data-bases of our souls. There will always be bumps in the road. It’s a guarantee. Taking the right path, which you believe in, will take away some of the guilt. Some. Speaking of ‘Alibi’ Tiggi stated: “Whenever you make that leap over that “friend boundary” you feel like you have to have an excuse and an alibi for why it happened, rather than admitting your feelings. It’s a situation I can personally relate very strongly to, and one I’ve also seen a lot of my friends find themselves in whichever way it ended going.” The single is gorgeous in its ‘humanity’. Tiggi makes it that way.

Claire Ridgely – California

We muttered “Wow” when we first heard this tune by CLAIRE RIDGELY. ‘California’ is mega popular on the platforms, and there’s a good reason why that is. “This song is about my idealization of the Los Angeles lifestyle and dreaming about the wonders this place could do for me as a musician,” said Claire. “Although California seems like a shining beacon of hope for creatives, many artists have been lost along the way. “California” is about deciding to follow your heart regardless of a fear of falling short of your dreams.” There’s nothing more enduring and poetic than following the dream. With some luck, and 1000% effort in the work, there’s a way forward and a brighter world waiting. And by now you heard the single. That’s why we were wowed. It’s simple, but the textures are just enough for us to dive into. Fabulous.
