EIVIND HUSEBØ ‘Strange’ (Remix by Syed Ali) : Something about the way this song moves you, in the most unsuspecting ways.

EIVIND HUSEBØ

Something about the way this song moves you, in the most unsuspecting ways.

When Eivind first covered ‘Strange’ by his brother’s band Bloom, he showed an uncanny ability to reimagine an existing song and turn it into something completely individual. Now, he has collaborated with Syed Ali to examine even more of the song’s hidden depths on his new remix.

Eivind creates a spacious and melancholic world where the natural grace of the song’s melody can come to life. After starting small, he builds an increasingly complex soundscape, with meandering rhythms intertwining with electronic ornamentations building to a huge peak and quietly fading back into nothing. With one unexpected turn after another, this remix of ‘Strange’ is the work of an artist with infinite imagination.

Eivind Husebø is an Norwegian singer-songwriter and guitarist, from Osterøy, Bergen.
