FAIRMONT To Drop New Album ‘We Will Burn That Bridge When We Get To It’ (December 14th).

Northern New Jersey’s FAIRMONT is ready to drop it’s next new album ‘We Will Burn That Bridge When We Get To It’ on December 14th. During the Christmas month, the enduring band of 2 decades, celebrates with its fans the next installment of songs and stories.

The upcoming album is FAIRMONT’s 6th studio album with Christian Kisala (long time drummer Andy Applegate is currently recuperating from health issues). Guitarist Matt Cheplic (The Bitter Chills), bassist Mike Burns (C’est La Vie), and keyboardist/backing vocals, Lisa Grabinski (Dharma Plums) joined for this offering.

Following up the previous album ‘A Spring Widow’, the upcoming album drives as hard, but in a slightly different tact, incorporating surf-rock atmospherics which litter the notes of the 9 song album, with dynamic kindness and degree of affection. The almost airy ups and downs, conflicting with tales of confusion, personal disenfranchisement, bitterness, and irony, the dream realities begin to deviate, then quickly merge into a Universal array of sonic pertinence.

In the single ’15 Years’, which starts off the conversation for the album’s musical direction. The usually associated guitar works of the band comes to the fore and center stage, then smoothly and delightfully pulls open the curtain to give the idea of the lyrics, the diagnosis it deserves. The surf-rock pop demeanor, both easy to understand and easy to access.

Catch the band in their next live show at Stosh’s in Fair Lawn, NJ featuring Tony Saxon, Ruby Bones & More.
