FIVE // Fruut : Pawl : Sita : Georgie : Busty and the Bass

Fruut

Fruut – R.O.E (Running on Empty)
This is the first collaboration release between Singer/Songwriter Fruut and producer Fortunewest. The track washes over you with chill waves of Lo-Fi carried in by hard-hitting percussion for a guaranteed head nod listening experience. Straight out of Philadelphia, Fruut, combines lo-fi, indie pop and rnb to create smooth butter. Fruut gets inspiration from artists such as including Lorde, Frank Ocean, Kevin Abstract, 6LACK, Lana Del Rey, Drake and Bon Iver; with sounds similar to Sia, Olivia O’Brien, Still Woozy, Ellie Goulding, and Lorde. Raunchy, tempting, lovely, twisted – the wilds of Fruut’s vocals in combination with the lyrics is oddly visceral and tactile. Working your heart with the touchable but unapproachable vibes of the beauty that Fruut depicts in her songs.

Pawl – Lifestyle

This house-pop release features elements such as uptempo beats with pop vocals and edgy lyrics. ‘Lifestyle’ is about being caught up in a state of mind where you are constantly desiring for more. ”What can we do, Isn’t that life, Looking for more, Never enough” as the lyrics spit. And as the lips of you and her, interstellar in feelings and vibe – the closeness crosses dimensions and lapses in utter pleasure. July quickly turns into December, and as the seasons, your view of her changes. Of him changes. Fame, money, death, life – never becomes more poignant as the bass bumps and your future entangles further with the rhythm.

Sita – Chances

Sita Steele is a singer/songwriter, native to New York and currently based in Nashville. Making the move to Nashville, she looks forward to releasing her own music and collaborating with other artists. Sita’s latest single off her upcoming EP, Chances features an eclectic soundscape, with driving rhythms and catchy melodies bound to get you on your feet. And beckoning with desire and ultimatum, the crackling of broken glass on the floors of broken hearts, break the skin of love and its parts. Bleeding with desire, she asks with gumption, “what if?” He reaches out and maybe “this is it.” Sita’s single is both pop and classic knee boppin’ choral gospel for the good of love. Maybe, eh?

Georgie – MAGNUM

Hailing from Fulham, London, the young singer-songwriter crafts her unique modern-pop sound. “I walked into my brother’s house to hear a drum groove him and one of his best friends had created, and within a couple hours of me arriving we had written and recorded the whole song. It’s about moments when we don’t trust our own judgement and the inner conflict that this leads to.” Georgie has always had a love for music and was singing melodies before she could speak. Demonstrating her affinity for sublime pop music, her unique poetic lyrics set the 19-year-old in a league of her own. Georgie is Georgie Kircher, and the 19 year old is on the way to building vibin’ pop intricacies.

Busty and the Bass – Summer

The upcoming album was produced by Grammy-winning producer Neal Pogue (OutKast, Earth Wind and Fire) and funk pioneer George Clinton and Macy Gray. Busty and the Bass is a Canadian electro-soul and hip hop band from Montreal, Quebec. The band is known for its unique brand of music, which incorporates two vocalists, a horn section, and a diverse range of musical genres. Beautifully inlaid with wisdom and pearl, this pop invasion of the soul, collides into a cosmic array of love and angst. A good kind of anxiety, where the turn of the page to the paradise you’d always desired, is too overwhelming to absorb. You can do this.
