Flyying Colours – Long Holiday

Long Holiday by Flyying Colours is a semi-psychedelic, playfully strummed, anthem-for-life, 1990’s-trip-to-open-country, narration-for-being-strong, kind of fabulousness.

Like many songs we love and review on CHF, Long Holiday starts the way we like it – airy guitar chords, irresistible guitar hooks, and all that on top of a palette of smooth front and backup vocals.

It’s a song that is begging to be in one’s music list.

Imagine this: you have graduated from high-school, don’t know what you want to be, and tradition dictates you go to college. But you have big dreams, aspirations. Is there a bigger world out there? Is it available for you to get a slice of that big pie?

You still don’t know. But you want to find out.

This is what the feel of this song is to us (even if the subject lyrics aren’t about that). And that is something to dig.

Have a stab, check out the band’s info. Enjoy.

We sure will.
