“The first collection of work that really feels like me…”
Fohster’s ambitious lyrics, framed into grand sculptures of love and all its ilk, dances with realism and rationalism. But with all of that, the meaning of helplessness and dreams, seep, ever so slightly, into the vexing dimensions of relationships and consequences.
And it’s a delightful assertion.
“Late night thoughts and the rush of skin. Slow days and a fear of saying too much. The kind of love that doesn’t always fit in a box. It’s not a series or cycles – it’s a life of its own,” said Fohster. “From my first EP, ‘Love in Four Stages’. The EP is a collection of cross-genre tracks that span moments of love, loss, and longing. Tarot takes on a dynamic, laid-back groove to give form to what’s hard to put into words.”
Born on the East Coast of the United States, Fohster takes his influences from modern R&B, pop, hip-hop, and the variety of sounds he grew up with. Getting his start writing short-form songs at 8-years old, he began performing and sharing music during his first year of college.
