Fransancisco ‘More Than You Know’ : “Jack helped write a song with Thorald and Isaac by ‘literally’ singing the first note.”

“More Than You Know” is the new single from indie-folk duo Fransancisco, inspired by the recent passing of Thorald Koren’s (co-lead in the duo) baby son Jack.

On Saturday January 25th, 2020, Thorald and Ashley Koren’s beautiful little boy, Jack, peacefully passed away. Jack was born on November 9, 2018 with severe brain injuries. He was immediately supported and loved by his family, nurses, and many others for over a year.

“Videos and photos have been shared, to honor the profound impact he has made on all of our lives,” says Thorald. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who generously gave their time, money, support, energy, and love for our Jack. ‘We could not have done it without you’ is an understatement. We believe that the most sacred tool we have to heal is through music. Without Jack, we would not have co-created Fransancisco. One night, Jack helped write a song with Thorald and Isaac by ‘literally’ singing the first note.”

Thorald emphasized: “Jack had what seemed like 5% function, yet 100% being. Of the 5% function, all of it was his voice – his own language of expression. He was living proof that everybody has a voice, no matter what circumstances they were given.”

The brothers’ mother and poet, Madeleine, co-wrote the lyrics to this song that Thorald, Isaac, and Jack created together.

Ryan Nealon ‘Mistakes’ : Lovingly sung with ambrosia goodness. An anthemic explosion, for and of the heart.

Jay Warren ‘Take It Higher’ : Drenches with warmth and high expectations. Grace and the inevitable vibrance of balance and acceptance.
