Fridolijn is a singer / songwriter from Amsterdam, popping into the scene in 2011 with her release of ‘Crossing The Rubicon’ via Finn Silver. Quickly after that she’d jumped on board with her self-release debut – targeting jazz and world music interpretations. She’d been off and running, ever since.
She’s a beautiful explorer and expresser of emotions through her songs.
It’s a water painting, delicate, colorful, empathetic, and accessible.
And her vocals are what attracts one to her music, at first glance (listen). There’s no way around it.
The soft power implored by her vocals, beckons you to reach into your musical soul, and tease it out into your shoulders. Show it to the world, watch it flower. Watch it grow.
Take that mask off, the silence of living life the way you are.
Ways into that chapter, there’s more to come.
Let the winds of honesty, trample over trepidations like puddles.
Do it over, and over again.
One step forward, to one thousand million.
‘Frame This’ is a song from her album ‘Catching Currents’ – which was released in 2015.
But we just had to demonstrate this song again, for it’s a delight of a song.
It’s balance is decadent, traversing the line between Jazz, Pop, and becoming an Indie love song, we want to hear over and over.
We dig, Fridolijn.
And we think you should too.
Kudos, Fridolijn. Kudos.
She’s rep’ed by V2 RECORDS, working out of the Netherlands.
