GOLD ST MKT ‘Fashion’ : Will dictate the discourse with overwhelming retributions, from bow to starboard.

Gold St Mkt

Decidedly more upbeat and prog, the injection of pop and indie-rock, glances with delight as the 80’s vibin’ synth works, tickle your senses – even when the subject matter is heavy.

The band emphasized that the track is about: “coronavirus lockdowns, unemployment, police brutality, and mass protests, all being eclipsed by the faux, performative action of those not directly touched by these issues.”

The world and its overarching zeitgeist, deflects into a bath of weirdness in 2020. Magnified by a possible era of ‘Trump-ism’ and ‘Populism’ to come, a balance of decency and individual emotions for ‘sovereignty’ will dictate the discourse with overwhelming retributions, from bow to starboard.

The band added: “We’re stoked to get this out in the weeks leading up to the 2020 election as it directly hits on the issues on all of our minds through music that feels relevant yet cutting when you look a little deeper.”

Deep indeed. Dance while you listen.
