We assume there’s a lot to say about Fred Nicolaus, the proprietor of the project called Golden Suits.
He’s a Brooklyn-ite who seems to be a stereotypical Brooklyn musician. A lover of books, a lover of culture, a lover of things (as he puts it, a lover of song-writing.
But we see him slightly differently.
There are many different levels of feeling, emotions, anger, frustrations, and life gripes that he tries to expose into his ballad-like lyrics. His recommendations, through his music is subtle and enigmatic in follow-through, but it’s relatable to our daily ups and downs.
His “Don’t Let Love Go By”, is no different. It suggests, loves, reminisces, recommends; all while, gently scolds and demeans us for the actions/non-actions taken or not-taken.
Passive-Aggressive?
Yep, and it’s a doozie of a song.
