Good Boy ‘Extended Heavy’ : It’s a sight to remember, in all of its glory and dynamics of sound.

‘Extended Heavy’ leans further into the pop realm than previous Good Boy singles, blossoming into a short, sweet, and singalong-worthy chorus following a bouncing, strum-heavy verse. It is a fab representation of what the band was and is in print. The long-awaited debut full length record, ‘It Takes A Lot of Skill To Milk A Mare’, is a collection of sound that is unique to Good Boy and highlights all of the things that makes music ‘listen-able’.

But with the release of the brand new single and the new album, the band will stop their project as in the form of today.

“It’s from our first and final album ‘It Takes A Lot Of Skill To Milk A Mare’,” said the band, also adding that “We’ve decided to call it a day. When we started Good Boy we wouldn’t have fathomed the project making it this far. From getting our first radio play, to going on our first tour. We’re going to leave you with our album and one last show. We love you all and we just want to thank you for supporting us over the last few years. It’s been a hell of a ride.”

But there is one small but temporary silver lining, in that on April 24th, they will be playing their last show as this Good Boy unit. And the best part is if you’re near The Triffid, you can see Tom Lindeman, Rian King, Stu McKenzie and Marli Smales play as they do.

While you’re at it, listen to ‘It Takes A Lot Of Skill To Milk A Mare’. It’s a sight to remember, in all of its glory and dynamics of sound.
