Grizzly Coast Shares ‘High-Functioning’. “Charm offensive?”

Kyle Micheal Murray

Vibrant and tinged with a slice of taunting expediency, ‘High-Functioning’ is a single from Grizzly Coast. The project is part of Toronto based indie-rock musician Alannah Kavanagh’s continued surge into the musical world. The project is where a gal with much to say about things in her environment, can belt it out with heart unfurled and her mind ready to tackle with no qualms.

Contrasts are welcome, as the vivid shoegaze interpreting guitar play, strums into your waiting room of hope and settles in for a nice cup of coco.

Her interest in writing, mixed with her lifelong affinity for playing music led her to blend the two mediums on her stand-alone singles, “Half-Light Boy” and “Zuzu’s Petals”. She has spent 2019 touring throughout Ontario and Alberta with her band and preparing for her EP release in early 2020.

Charm offensive?

You better believe your bippy.

See Grizzly Coast next @ Monarch Tavern, Toronto, on October 11th.
