Heating up! Google aims for Amazon, with new partnership with Walmart.

Google and Walmart has announced that they will be teaming up to develop a “new partnership that will enable voice shopping through Google Assistant”(TechCrunch). This will involve Google strengthening Google Home (the rival to Amazon Alexa) with the largest physical retailer in the world, Walmart.

Google and Amazon are the online behemoths of this blue planet earth. Each started their businesses in different categories of the market, and now come 2017, and they will lock horns concretely within the online retail segment for the foreseeable future.

Who will win? Google a search monopoly that wants to dominate every customer interaction play, within its ecosystem? Or will Amazon win, with its ever popular website, Prime convenience, and sales volume?

The two are on a mission to make consumer shopping decisions almost automatic and much less dependent on human decision making (which can be bit distracted on a day to day basis). From Suggestion of Item to Delivery of Item to the customer, Google and Amazon wants to dominate.

Lets see.
