Hockney ‘Pictures’ : Sophomore album is due Fall 2020. Summer in any season.

Hockney is back with a joyous new single, ‘Pictures’ and this time inviting you to a yacht deck dance party. The baroque 60s inspired pop they are most known for has been temporarily replaced with slick and groovy synth based disco. As with their previous single, ‘Cellophane’, they have been to London and brought Sean O ‘Hagan from Stereolab and The High Llamas as well as Kenneth Ishak to both play and produce. Bendik Brænne also delivers a high spirited saxophone solo in the song’s climax. The song was mixed by Matias Tellez.

Hockney’s sophomore album is due Fall 2020.

Hockney is an emerging indie-pop duo from Oslo, Norway, consisting of Sigurd Fandango and Vegard Setrom. With Hockney’s own natural flair for lovely harmonies and catchy melodies, it has resulted in a playful pop song which is a perfect soundtrack for the summer.

It’s par-tay time.
