We’d stated this about I’m Kingfisher’s Thomas Jonsson: “[He] is a craftsman. A indie-folk distributor of life’s feelings, hanging them to the staves in mid-sky. The notes get wet with sultry malcontented voices of struggle, of doubt, and many times, remorse. I’m Kingfisher’s ‘What Would Loving Do Me Now’, questions the obvious facts. But doesn’t prematurely deter the possibilities.”
And the fist bump continues with his latest single, ‘Luck Underwhelms Me’. It’s off of the upcoming new album ‘Transit’ due to drop April 13th. ‘Transit’ will be his third album Transit.
Why? Well, fist bumps are cool (in an early 2000’s way??), and Thomas’ new song just IS. It is a song emminating just enough folk, powerdered by basic human wants.
“I wanted to give this album time, and time came to be a big part of it. Transit is my sixth solo album and my first truly stripped down one.” – Thomas Jonsson, I’m Kingfisher
