The ferocious counter pop-dom of their songs are a attribute to what we love about the world of indie and great music. The band now returns with ‘White Flag’ a first single from their upcoming record.
The music video reminds me of Alex Cameron (and vice versa), and we don’t care. In fact we adore this kind of music.
It’s sublime in its simplicity and weirdness. Decadent in its monstrous contribution to the senses.
That’s why we listen. That’s what we’re here for.
And Jack provides, just that.
“It’s written from two perspectives”, says Ladder. “I didn’t want to duet so I sang both parts. It allows for more mystery.”
This is their 5th album, continuing the legacy of great Australian indie music.
“Blue Poles is the most melodic thing I’ve ever done”, he reflects. “I really pushed myself into some uncomfortable places.”
