James Wyatt Crosby’s Canyfloss is a ride on the guitar cloud, and we just didn’t want to get off. The seating was soft, fluffy, refreshing, and the future just looked brighter when listening to this song.
“Take me away, take me away, take me away” – were we like that when we met? Yes. I love you, I do, with every fiber of my human biological make-up.
I adore you, my gains are timeless.
I implore you, your smiles are endless.
You love me too, I dearly possess.
You love me too, you don’t have to speak.
But speak to me in touches, softness of your skin, brightness of you eyes.
My life speaks through you, you are my energy’s alibi.
So, long being alone, I am alone, only with you.
James described this song as:
“being very soft and sweet, almost purposefully schmaltzy,” explains James Wyatt Crosby. “We were trying to capture a kind of playful ‘lovey-dovey’ feeling by experimenting with different sorts of instrumentation and I think we made something really pretty.”
We’d agree. But ‘lovey-dovey’ is start to another gate – new things to explore. It’s a start, to a great ‘start’.
James is rep’ed by a label we just got to know: Maisonneuve Music. Check ’em out, both!
