JD Simo ‘One of Those Days’ : An unencumbered and straight forward song of envelopment.

JD Simo

Nashville based blues guitarist/singer JD Simo today releases his first single of 2020, “One of Those Days”. This song is the first release from his upcoming full-length eponymous record, JD Simo.

“‘One of Those Days’ is a sentiment I hope we all can relate to,” JD told Popmatters. “I try really hard to grow and account for the things about myself I want to change. In the same breath, I see how I fall short. There’s no harm in that unless you don’t keep trying.”

JD spent 2019 and early 2020 (pre-pandemic), on the road. After releasing his previous album, ‘Off at 11’, JD toured with bands such as The Allman Betts Band, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, and Blackberry Smoke.

Sultry and decadent, the depth of gloss shines in earnest with ‘One of Those Days’. The virtuous and non-apparent apparitions of soul and pop, soak through every fiber of each word projected by JD.

An unencumbered and straight forward song of envelopment.
