Johnny Utah ‘4tounce’ : The feelz is good.

Charm and engrossing groove.

‘4Tounce’ via PAPER Magazine. The song, which first premiered as Apple Music’s Beats 1 World Record, was critically acclaimed by the likes of Wonderland Magazine (who called Johnny Utah a “one to watch”) as well as TIME Magazine, Ones To Watch and plenty more.

Johnny Utah is the alternative, love-pop brainchild of 23 year old multi-instrumentalist Jacob Sullenger. Since 2017 (after gaining a cult like following online due to viral videos on twitter), Utah has released a series of EP’s and singles all varying in styles and moods while retaining the same lo-fi pop roots and love washed lyricism.

After a busy 2018, which included the release of his self-titled EP, a handful of singles, and a placement on the critically acclaimed HBO series HIGH MAINTENANCE, 2019 is looking to be a very bright year for Utah.

It’s natural to feel this vibe. After all, your vibes start when ‘4Tounce’ begins its sultry shellacking of your normal sensibilities. Which you invite and don’t hate, either. The feelz is good. And the heretical atmosphere, buzzes with underrated gumption.

The charm and engrossing groove, is in the context of such currents. The undertow of melancholic deviations, sooth with ultimate appeal and gratitude.

Word.

Oh, and this music video is a charmer too.
