Joji shares another weird and glisteningly traumatic music video for his single ‘Window’. As always, the songs and their accompanying videos look deep into that artist swamp he calls his brain, and tells us to shut up and listen up. And we, the public… DO.
The video is directed by the gang at BRTHR. And it helps tell the story of the protagonist, again, ‘lost’ in seemingly ‘forever’ darkness – created by his/her lonesome – hurt and scared of the bounds guarded by life’s answer to it all.
And per usual, there isn’t any answer.
The questions are just half-written down. No sense of where it’s leading to.
One thing’s for sure, the direction the question pushes us towards, shouldn’t end very well.
It’s a good thing.
New Deluxe Version of ‘In Tongues’ EP will drop Feb 14th.
Joji mixes different textures, weaving them demonstrably through the jungles of electronica, folk, rap, and R&B. The subdued vocal extracts multiply the effects, pronouncing the decadence and travesty, in many (and all) of us.
Have at it, and see what you think.
He’s rep’ed by 88Rising.
Joji will also embark on a 3-date run of shows in NYC, LA and SF.
