“This song is about not being able to get close enough to someone you love. Wanting to almost be absorbed by them just because you adore them,” KIT said. “Given the fact that we can’t all just hug each other at the moment it feels very relevant!”

The single was brought to life with the help of James Seymour AKA FEELDS (guitar, vocals and synth), Rhiannon Atkinson-Howatt AKA Merpire (vocals), Jarred Young (drums), and David Symes (bass).

KIT’s ‘King Size Bed’ was recorded at Golden Retriever Studios in Sydney and Small Time studio in Brunswick and was the first track ever to be recorded at the latter. The release was mixed and mastered by Isaac Barter.

“We spent the days writing music and the nights eating tacos and drinking margaritas and going to comedy. It was one of the best times of my life!,” KIT added.

KIT is Katie Wighton and the guitarist/vocals in ARIA-award winning folk outfit All Our Exes Live in Texas. All Our Exes have spent the better part of the last few years touring the world supporting acts including The Backstreet Boys, Passenger and Midnight Oil in the US.
