Beautifully sung and majestically performed, Kris Kelly makes his single ‘More’, irresistible to the pallet. The song is filled with sounds of maddening visions and archetypical digressions of thought, which combine with allegorical destructions and stories of perk resolutions.
Austin originating atmospheric Kris bring ‘More’ to a bubbling heap of sensibilities and universal angst. It is a single that hits way above its belt, with cosmic horizons and delectable harmonies.
Kelly spent 5 years traveling through South America with just his guitar and a suitcase, in his former chapter of life. Living most in Argentina and Brazil, Kelly met his former husband, and his travel experiences inspired the core of Kelly’s album — pure love, loss, discovery, and growth. When he returned to the USA, Kelly recorded the album between NYC and LA with an all-star team of musicians.
His album ‘Runaways’ features Kelly on acoustic guitar & vocals, string/wind/horn arrangements by John Philip Shenale (Tori Amos), Todd Sickafoose (Ani DiFranco) on bass, Brian Griffin (Lana Del Rey, The Lone Bellow, Brandi Carlile) on drums, Dave Levita (Alanis Morrisette) & Benji Lysaght (Father John Misty) on electric guitar, and Dave Palmer (Fiona Apple, Lana Del Rey) on keyboards. Kelly self-produced the album and it was mixed by Noah Georgeson (Joanna Newsom, Devendra Banhart, Andy Shauf).
A graduated summation for the senses is how we’d described his single.
We think it just gets even better and better.
