Laya Laya ‘Vampire’ : Vibrating with uncontested personal notions.

Laya Laya

‘Vampire’ is the 1st of 5 tracks to be released in 2020 by London-born male-female duo Laya Laya. The track has already been spotlisted by BBC Radio.

The song is about ‘a hopeless hope’ – waiting and waiting for something that is not going to happen. Written from the perspective of a ‘Vampire’ waiting for love, Laya Laya took inspiration from when they, or even people they knew, kept kidding themselves that something was going to happen even though they hadn’t done what they needed to do to get it.

Laya Laya are a writer/producer duo from London, who originally connected in 2017 via a UK based music blog.

Unbeknownst to either of them when they met, they were both on the path to recovery after suffering from life-changing physical and mental health issues. Even more serendipitous was that much to the alarm of family and friends, they had both individually decided to leave their well paid but unfulfilling corporate office jobs (Freya in Law, B in Media) to make music.

Soothing effervescence bubbles through the crust of the mystery that is Laya Laya’s music. Vibrating with uncontested personal notions, the story tellers of whimsy and consequences urge for pop understanding and emotional empathy.
