Bonsound (Montreal Canada) announced that they did a fabulous thing and signed Les Louanges to their already awesome line up of artists. Les Louanges is Vincent Roberge, and he’s terrific. Listen to his new single (first in conjunction with Bonsound) ‘Pitou’. Yep, you guessed it. So funky, so much hook, so likable, so attainable, it sits right next to you and says ‘Here I am. Hug me. Dance with me. Move that knee with me.’ The song dramatically closes the curtains in your solitary mind, turns on the mood light, then smacks you to listen harder and smile. Oh the humanity!
The mix of Canadian-French and English, is always en vogue – always does to our ears. And put that to Les Louanges humor and musical sensibilities collectively causes fire-cracker fights in our heads.
So very cool. So very good.
The Montreal-based Lévis-native made a splash thanks to his EP’s jazzy, slacker-rock vibe – soothing and rallying, according to VOIR’s Catherine Genest – and the unique timbre of his voice.
Again, just watch and listen to the video. No disappointments, guaranteed.
His new album is set for release in the autumn of 2018.
“He collaborated with Félix Petit (Bellflower), who co-produced the track, and William Côté on the drums. Vincent did all the rest, the instrumentation and the vocals. The young producer is ready to embark on a new path by exploring more chillwave, R&B and hip-hop sounds. Inspired by artists like Toro y Moi and Washed Out as well as the work of Steve Lacy and Frank Ocean, Les Louanges promises to fully explore this new direction in his upcoming songs.”
Les Louanges is rep’ed by Bonsound, working hard from Montreal Canada.
