Alternative-pop darling LITTLE COYOTE comes up with the goods with her latest single ‘Dig Up My Grave’. The indie-folk tinged arrangement, with knee slapping potentials and high falutin, dark-blues antics in tow, the Toronto based artist has it goin’ on and then some.
Gentle in its aggressive minded musical stride, the undertones of ‘Dig Up My Grave’ is overall tart and radical, as it is quirky and ‘oh so good’.
“Dig Up My Grave is a song about four different breakups that happened all at once in my life last summer,” said Little Coyote (Teagan Johnston). “Although the nature of each breakup and relationship were different I found a connective theme in each relationship of toxicity. Dig up my grave speaks to not only moving on from toxic relationships but of wanting more from the people in my life. People with whom I would not find a relationship grave and If we were to get there, they would fight with me to bring us back.”
Formed in 2015, the project’s debut album “The Trouble With Teeth” was funded by a Canada Council for the Arts grant, and released on October 13th 2017.
Each time, praise seems to be natural for the artist and her works.
Let the trend continue.
